American Pharoah ended a 37-year Triple Crown drought in 2015 by sweeping the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes. He later won the Breeders' Cup Classic, becoming the first horse to complete what became known as racing's Grand Slam.
