Beer League Derby Champion
Representing the War Admirals, James Benedetto rode Señor Sidewall to victory in the inaugural Beer League Derby. Sponsored by Pablo's New and Used Tires, Benedetto conserved his energy through the early stages before overtaking his tiring rivals in the final laps.
Joe Jones placed aboard Jolly Rancher, sponsored by Livingston Ranch, while Sean Reder showed aboard Cypress, sponsored by Arborist Solutions.
Tournament Champions
The American Pharoahs completed a perfect 3–0 run, defeating the Secretariats 3–2 in the final to capture the inaugural tournament championship.
The championship game against the Secretariats was a nail-biter. After falling behind 2–0, the American Pharoahs fought back to force a shootout. Corey Capelle delivered the decisive goal, moving from right to left and drawing the goaltender with him before finishing into the top-right corner to secure the championship for the American Pharoahs.
